Brief
The BMD-3 is a Russian air- transportable and air-droppable infantry fighting vehicle introduced in 1985 as a replacement for the BMD-1 , which it did not fully replace due to the collapse of the USSR in 1989. It is in service with the Airborne Troops of the Russian Federation . Its main characteristic is to be able to be parachuted by air drop .
