This course is an introduction to visual storytelling, open to anyone, regardless of their level.
Storyboarding is the ability to visually organize a story: a valuable process for creating movies, comics, illustrations, business plans or essays. After all, a good story is woven into every successful project!
What you will learn
Understand storyboarding. What is storyboarding? How can we go about it? What are the basic tools?
Find your story idea. Find a story that's uniquely yours and that packs a punch in some way.
Search your topic. You will be asked to find pictures, documents or any other source of information that will give you inspiration on your topic.
Explore and structure your ideas. You will produce a synopsis of your story in its simplest form.
Put your ideas into practice. Draw your storyboard to communicate your story exactly the way you want it to.
what you will do
You'll use the project guide I designed to storyboard a story you've lived: anything from your favorite childhood memory to an event that happened this morning on your way to work .
As a screenwriter at Walt Disney Studios, I storyboard daily (and I love it).
