the test
The plane hit the selected targets precisely, from a distance of 5 km and from an altitude of 18,000 feet, and under harsh weather conditions, as temperatures were 17 degrees below zero in a test conducted in 2015

A home-made MAM-L missile manufactured by the Turkish company Roketsan was used.

The "Bayraktar TB2" aircraft can fly up to an altitude of 20,000 feet, carry weights of up to 150 kg, and fly 24 hours continuously. It also has the advantage of night reconnaissance and the ability to conduct surveillance, exploration and instantaneous destruction of targets.

It is noteworthy that Turkey is one of only 6 countries in the world that has the ability to produce armed drones equipped with smart bombs and advanced electronic systems.

The stages of production
Turkey started the first stage of developing the “Bayraktar TB2” drone model in 2007.
The aircraft made its first flight, in June 2009.
Turkey started the development of the second phase and production, in December 2011.
The second phase was launched in January 2012.
The first trials were conducted in April 2014.
The first 6 aircraft were delivered to the Turkish Land Forces, in November 2014.
Then 6 other planes were delivered to the ground forces, in June 2015, and the plane has officially entered service with the Turkish forces since then.

Plane features
The “Bayraktar TB2” unmanned aerial vehicle system consists of 6 aerial vehicles (aircraft), 2 ground control and control stations, 3 ground data stations, and two video stations, in addition to ground support equipment.
Bayraktar TB2 is classified as a tactical military aircraft (surveillance and attack).
It can fly at an altitude of (20 thousand to 27 thousand feet) about 8 thousand meters, carry equipment weighing 150 kg, and fly up to 25 hours continuously.
And it has the ability to carry out missions of observation, exploration and real-time destruction of targets during the day and night.
It works to provide the operations centers of the Turkish Armed Forces with real-time information that it monitors during its mission in the airspace.
It is capable of targeting specific threats with onboard munitions and missiles
